Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Outlander (Outlander, #1)Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At first, I was skeptical, knowing that I never really got into historical romances. But “Outlander” managed to change my mind about not just history, but the people who lived during those historical times. I really enjoyed reading “Outlander” and I look forward to reading the sequels.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales by Jacob Grimm

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In reading Grimm’s Fairy Tales, I begin to wonder why some of the original stories never made it to the movies. Or if they were, Disney screwed them over. I found myself enjoying the original stories more than the Disneyfied versions of the stories, which says a lot about who I am and what I read. I highly recommend that you should read this book if you enjoy fantasy or classic fairy tales.

Fresh Update on a classic story

This is a great way to teach children how to read and also introduce them to Greek Mythology. In less than a few pages, I learned more about the story of Paris and the Golden Apple than plowing through an adult novel of the same nature. These kinds of books should be read to children at an early age.
