2017 Entertainment Review

Another year is gone, so it’s time for the end-of-the-year report…

The movie of the year is…”Wonder Woman”!!! It’s no surprise that people liked the movie about everyone’s favorite female superhero. I can’t wait to see what she does in the sequel. Honorable Mentions: Beauty & the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Get Out

Yet, the worst movie is…”Despicable Me 3″. OK, I know you all saw that movie for the Minions. C’mon, y’all, let’s give the story a rest, why don’t you?

The book you needed to read this year is…OK, this was a difficult choice, but I’m going to have to choose “Into the Water” by Paula Hawkins.

Yet, the book you never should have touched was… “The End of Eddy” by Edouard Louis. OK, don’t read this book. Just don’t. Your sanity will thank you.

And your favorite song was…Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. Runners up include Imagine Dragon’s “Believer” and Charlie Puth’s “Attention”.

Notable deaths:

To those whose lives ended because of gun violence, hurricanes, and the California wildfires

the soldiers who freely gave their lives in defense of our country

Rhea the Naked Birdie, who had Psittacine beak and feather disease, a viral disease that destroys a bird’s beak and feathers. Rhea was left featherless because of the disease, yet found fame on Instagram. She died on September 26, 2017.

Unfortunately, two people from my church (the nicest people you’ll ever meet) have shaken hands with the god of death, which doesn’t make me happy. Can’t you just wipe these so-called “social justice warriors” off the face of this earth and give them back, please?

Unfortunately, I already know 2018 won’t be any better, so why bother hoping for a better year?
