Summary: A teenaged boy named Percy Jackson discovers his true heritage (he’s a descendant of Poseidon) and is dragged into an ancient war between the Greek Gods when he’s accused of stealing Zeus‘s famed lightning bolt.

My review: What a superb movie, even better than when Chris directed “Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone“. It’s also great that this film uses familiar characters from Greek Mythology and plays out like a kid’s version of “Clash of the Titans” and not anything having to do with Harry Potter whatsoever. In fact, Percy and his friends can so beat up Harry Potter and his group of idiots.

And besides, who doesn’t want to be a demigod?

My recommendation: This goes to all those recovering from Harry Potter.

My rating: ****1/2
