A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket

Count Olaf, his theater troupe, and the Baudel...

Count Olaf, his theater troupe, and the Baudelaire orphans, as illustrated by Brett Helquist (left to right): the white-faced women, the one who looks like neither a man nor a woman, the bald man with the long nose, the hook-handed man, Klaus Baudelaire, Count Olaf, Sunny Baudelaire, and Violet Baudelaire. Intro: Assuming you have decided to keep reading these depressing stories, I have the second part of the story…

Summary:

Violet, Klaus, and Sunny have escaped from Count Olaf and are sent to stay with a relative named Montgomery Montgomery at his reptile house. but knowing Count Olaf, this good fortune is not to last…

My review: I wish this is a fun book, but it still makes me feel like it’s a reading assignment. Not fun.

My recommendation: well, if you like dark comedies, then read the book. if not, don’t bother.

My rating: ***
